Whether you are looking to master the clean lines of Mid-Century Modern decor or want to enhance your home’s outdoor appeal with timeless architectural elements, you’ll find expert tips and curated inspiration here. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge to make confident design choices, transforming your entire living environment into a cohesive and beautiful sanctuary.
Origin
For years, my passion for interior design was confined to rental spaces and their restrictions. But when I finally stepped into a home I could call my own, the creative juices came rushing in. It was a starter home. A blank canvas where the possibilities felt endless.
Soon, I started seeing that same potential everywhere I went. It became an automatic habit for me to walk into a room and instantly design it in my head. When friends and family began confiding in me that they wanted to renovate their own spaces but simply didn’t know where to start, I realized something. I could use my passion to educate others and simplify their design journeys. That’s how The Blue Bird Home guides were born. My hope is that they bring clarity and inspiration with ease to anyone feeling overwhelmed by the process.
Our Name
When I moved into my new home, I brought along a dresser that my mother had crafted. She had molded a bird from clay, pressed it onto the wood, and painted it blue.
One evening as the sun was setting, I caught sight of it and snapped a picture. Rays of sunshine had landed on that bluebird in the most majestic way but the walls surrounding it were completely bare and bland. When it came time to name this brand, the choice was simple. A bluebird filled with sunshine in a room so bland you could cry. That’s what potential looks like.
Bluebirds are universal symbols of happiness, hope, and new beginnings.
